That commitment brought&nbsp;Caribbean Export to the&nbsp;<strong>Americas Investment Forum 2026<\/strong>, held from&nbsp;<strong>July&nbsp;1<\/strong><strong><sup>st<\/sup><\/strong><strong>&nbsp;to 3<\/strong><strong><sup>rd<\/sup><\/strong>&nbsp;in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The engagement formed part of the Agency&#8217;s ongoing efforts to&nbsp;mobilise&nbsp;investment, build investor&nbsp;relationships,&nbsp;and strengthen the region&#8217;s investment pipeline.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Organised&nbsp;by&nbsp;<strong>ProDominicana<\/strong>&nbsp;in partnership with the&nbsp;<strong>World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA)<\/strong>, the Forum brought together investment promotion agencies, policymakers, investors and private-sector leaders from across the Americas to foster collaboration,&nbsp;facilitate&nbsp;business&nbsp;connections,&nbsp;and advance sustainable investment.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Caribbean Export&#8217;s participation was supported through the&nbsp;<strong>Regional Private Sector Development Programme III<\/strong>, funded by the&nbsp;<strong>European Union<\/strong>&nbsp;under the&nbsp;<strong>NDICI \u2013 Global Europe<\/strong>&nbsp;financial instrument as part of the&nbsp;<strong>Global Gateway Investment Agenda<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Caribbean Export was represented by Deputy Executive Director&nbsp;<strong>Leo Naut<\/strong>, who&nbsp;participated&nbsp;in the panel discussion,&nbsp;<em>\u00abSustainable Investment for Development: Strategic Perspectives from the Americas\u201d.&nbsp;<\/em>During the discussion, Naut reinforced the importance of presenting the Caribbean as a unified investment destination rather than a collection of individual markets,&nbsp;emphasising&nbsp;that a regional approach is key to overcoming scale constraints and attracting larger pools of capital.&nbsp;He also highlighted how the upcoming&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/caribbeaninvestmentforum.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Caribbean Investment Forum (CIF) 2026<\/a>, to be held in Barbados from October 5<sup>th<\/sup>-7<sup>th<\/sup>, will continue Caribbean Export&#8217;s efforts to&nbsp;mobilise&nbsp;investment into the region&#8217;s transformational sectors.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of its contribution to the Forum, Caribbean Export&nbsp;also&nbsp;supported structured business matchmaking sessions and investment roundtables that strengthened engagement between investors,&nbsp;businesses,&nbsp;and government representatives.&nbsp;Nearly&nbsp;<strong>70&nbsp;formal meetings<\/strong>&nbsp;were scheduled, with approximately&nbsp;<strong>66%&nbsp;comprising&nbsp;business-to-business (B2B) engagements<\/strong>, while the&nbsp;remainder&nbsp;included business-to-government (B2G) and government-to-government (G2G) meetings.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These formal engagements were complemented by&nbsp;numerous&nbsp;informal exchanges throughout the three-day event, helping to deepen relationships,&nbsp;identify&nbsp;new&nbsp;opportunities,&nbsp;and strengthen the pipeline of prospective investments for the Caribbean.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the&nbsp;<strong>Caribbean Investment Forum 2027<\/strong>&nbsp;envisioned to be hosted in the Dominican Republic, the Americas Investment Forum also served as an important&nbsp;stepping stone&nbsp;towards that goal. By bringing together investors, investment promotion agencies, businesses and public-sector partners, the Forum helped&nbsp;build the partnerships and pipeline of opportunities that will support&nbsp;<strong>CIF 2027<\/strong>&nbsp;and generate new investment opportunities across the Caribbean.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Creating opportunities for investment in the Caribbean means putting the region in front of the right investors, at the right forums and through the right partnerships.
