We have seen a growing trend for Caribbean food, beverages and natural products across Europe in the last few years which presents a real opportunity for us.&nbsp; In the UK alone, Caribbean food is now estimated to be worth \u00c2\u00a397m<\/em><a href=\"#_ftn1\"><em><strong>[1]<\/strong><\/em><\/a><em> with the number of Caribbean restaurants in the last year having grown by 144%<\/em><a href=\"#_ftn2\"><em><strong>[2]<\/strong><\/em><\/a><em>,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/em> comments Dr. Damie Sinanan, Manager of Competitiveness and Export Promotion from Caribbean Export.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Attendees will have the chance to book slots to meet with producers from a variety of categories including sauces and condiments; alcoholic drinks; natural, plant-based products and nutraceuticals.&nbsp; There will also be a presentation by European consumer goods and retail experts to discuss the latest insights on these fast-moving consumer goods within the UK, Germany, Spain and the Netherlands.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignleft size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/expo.absolutelycaribbean.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"400\" height=\"400\" src=\"https:\/\/content.carib-export.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/ezgif.com-gif-maker.gif\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-252536\"\/><\/a><figcaption><a href=\"https:\/\/expo.absolutelycaribbean.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Register Now<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Caribbean Export has partnered with Shaun and Craig McAnuff of Original Flava for the event who have found great success with their Caribbean food and lifestyle platform and recently released their first cookbook of authentic Jamaican recipes.&nbsp; With an increase in demand for Caribbean sauces and condiments across Europe, the duo will host a live session to show how versatile these products are, including a cooking demonstration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event is also supported by the West Indies Rum &amp; Spirit Producer\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Association (WIRSPA), who represent distillers\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 associations from across the ACP Caribbean<a href=\"#_ftn3\">[3]<\/a> and will be hosting a session on premium alcoholic drinks from the Caribbean in collaboration with the Rum and Spirits Academy of Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The online event is a joint venture between Caribbean Export, the European Commission and the Deutsche Gesellschaft f\u00c3\u00bcr Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and has been launched off the back of a successful three-day trade show and conference which took place in Germany last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For more information about the event and to register, please visit &nbsp;&#8211;<a href=\"http:\/\/expo.absolutelycaribbean.com\/about.html\">http:\/\/expo.absolutelycaribbean.com\/about.html<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/expo.absolutelycaribbean.com\/index.html\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/content.carib-export.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/AC-Blue-1.png\" alt=\"Absolutely Caribbean Virtual Expo\" class=\"wp-image-252487\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"#_ftnref1\">[1]<\/a> Grocery \u00e2\u20ac\u201c IRI December 2017<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"#_ftnref2\">[2]<\/a> CGA August 2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"#_ftnref3\">[3]<\/a> ACP stands for \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcAfrica, Caribbean and Pacific\u00e2\u20ac\u2122.
