Sinds de oprichting in 2021 speelt Pleion Group Inc., een toonaangevend economisch ontwikkelingsbedrijf in het Caribisch gebied met als doel economische groei te stimuleren door middel van initiatieven voor bedrijfsontwikkeling in het Caribisch gebied en daarbuiten, een cruciale rol bij de oprichting en implementatie van Connect Carib\u00e9, het door de particuliere sector geleide veerbootproject in het Caribisch gebied.<\/p>\n\n

Het bedrijf is ontstaan als direct gevolg van de deelname van het bedrijf aan de rondetafelconferentie over transport en logistiek op het Caribbean Investment Forum (CIF) 2022 in Trinidad en Tobago, waar belangrijke leden van het consortium die deelnamen aan het CIF2022 samenkwamen om op te richten wat nu Connect Carib\u00e9 is. Connect Carib\u00e9 richt zich op vier belangrijke pijlers om uitdagingen aan te pakken die interregionaal transport en handel tussen Caribische landen be\u00efnvloeden op het gebied van reizen, vracht, landbouw en e-commerce.<\/p>\n\n

De diverse perspectieven en inzichten uit de sector die tijdens CIF2022 werden gedeeld, leidden tot innovatieve idee\u00ebn en oplossingen die later doelbewust werden opgenomen in het strategische plan voor het Caribisch gebied. Tijdens de tweede aflevering van CIF2023 op de Bahama’s presenteerde Pleion Group Inc. onder leiding van Dr. Andre Thomas het Connect Carib\u00e9 project in het investeringsdorp om investeerders een breder inzicht te geven in het bedrijfsmodel van het project. Het CIF-platform en de exposure die het evenement opleverde, hebben bijgedragen aan de succesvolle verwerving van financiering voor de scheepsvloot en diverse bedrijfsactiviteiten. Met deze belangrijke ontwikkeling mikt Connect Caribe op de start van de dienst in het vierde kwartaal van 2024 voor vrachtvervoer en in het eerste kwartaal van 2025 voor reisvervoer.<\/p>\n\n

Op het Caribbean Investment Forum 2024<\/a> dit jaar in Georgetown, Guyana, zal Connect Carib\u00e9 de belangrijkste ontwikkelingen van het Connect Carib\u00e9 project presenteren tijdens de middagsessie op 12 juli 2024 in het Country Presentation segment met speciale aandacht voor Connect Caribe E-shops, een e-commerce marktplaats gericht op de Caribische regio. Het doel is om de economische transformatie in de Caribische regio te vergemakkelijken door een marktplaats te cre\u00ebren die ondernemers in staat stelt om e-commerce in hun bedrijf te gebruiken om lokale, regionale en extra-regionale omzet te genereren.<\/p>\n\n

In het kielzog van Caribbean Investment Forum 2024<\/a> presenteert Pleion Group de Connect Carib\u00e9 Summit (‘Navigating New Horizons: Bridging Travel, Trade, and E-Commerce Across the Caribbean’) in Bridgetown Barbados op 23 en 24 juli in het Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre.<\/p>\n\n

Het doel van de Connect Carib\u00e9 Summit (CCS) is om de maritieme reis- en logistieke sector naar een toekomst van naadloze connectiviteit en verbeterde handelsmogelijkheden binnen het Caribisch gebied te leiden.
